This division provides services and support to commercial entities that fund, manage or operate vehicle fleets, salary packaged vehicles and rental fleets for business or commercial use. Our members in this division also provide mobility solutions to consumer and commercial entities.

As the Australian body for car rental companies, AFIA developed the Car Rental Code of Practice to provide greater transparency and enhanced consumer confidence around car rental practices, on a national scale. The Code has been adopted by our members whose business is the short-term daily hire of vehicles from fixed locations. The Code ensures an industry standard is set and met on a wide range of issues including transparency of pricing and credit card charging practices, rental contract terms and damage assessment and billing.

The Code is supported by a clear process to allow customers to raise complaints with our members where they should be resolved in a timely and fair manner. For further details visit

For customers of fleet leasing more generally, we also assist Australian businesses in making an informed assessment of the usefulness of the fleet leasing and management alternative as a viable option for their vehicle requirements.
