AFIA, together with our new Associate Member AutoSettle are hosting an Executive Lunch with a select group of senior leaders from across vehicle finance and the automotive industry.
- Thursday, 12 November 2026
- 12:00pm – 2:30pm
- Sydney CBD
- By invitation only
You'll be joined by Diane Tate, Chief Executive Officer of AFIA, and Peter Jones, Chief Executive Officer of the Victorian Automotive Chamber of Commerce (VACC).
About the lunch
Property settlement moved to a shared digital environment more than a decade ago, and it's hard to imagine going back. Vehicle finance hasn't made that shift yet. Buying, selling and financing a vehicle still involves repeat checks, disconnected systems and a fair amount of manual follow-up, particularly once lenders, sellers and PPSR are all part of the same transaction.
This lunch is a chance to talk about what the next chapter could look like, with the people who would need to shape it.
Peter Jones and AutoSettle will each offer a few brief opening thoughts to get things started. From there, the afternoon belongs to the table: an open, informal conversation over lunch about where the industry is heading and what it would take to make vehicle transactions simpler, safer and more trusted for everyone involved.
Numbers are deliberately kept small, and the conversation will be held under the Chatham House Rule.
