Inquiry into Infrastructure for electric and alternative energy source vehicles in NSW
The NSW Legislative Assembly Committee on Transport and Infrastructure has commenced an inquiry which will look at the existing and future infrastructure needed to support electric and alternative energy source vehicles across NSW.
The Committee will investigate the feasibility of alternative energy sources for freight, heavy vehicles and other licenced vehicles in regional communities. Funding of electric vehicle chargers and infrastructure to support other potential energy fuel sources will also be explored, including locations of charging stations.
The inquiry will also explore what assistance is needed for workers transitioning from industries affected by the shift to electric and alternative energy vehicles.
The inquiry is open for submissions until 2 May 2025. Member feedback, questions or queries related to this inquiry can be directed to Luke O’Donnell at luke.odonnell@afia.asn.au. The Terms of Reference can be found here.
