AFIA is pleased to share a save the date for an upcoming AI Governance and Strategy Forum, delivered in partnership with Mallesons and Amplify Group, focused on AI governance, risk and practical implementation within financial services. We are excited to be bringing this AI Governance and Strategy Forum to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, giving members across multiple locations the opportunity to take part in this important discussion.
As interest in artificial intelligence continues to accelerate across the industry, members are increasingly looking beyond the initial concept phase and asking more practical questions around how AI can be implemented responsibly and effectively within their organisations. This includes understanding how to move from high-level governance principles to practical application.
This session will build on themes explored in previous AFIA webinars and take the discussion a step further, with a focus on the next layer of AI governance and risk management.
In particular, the discussion is expected to cover:
Practical AI governance, including approaches to developing appropriate risk frameworks and AI risk assessments
Embedding risk controls across the business, including practical use cases relevant to non-bank lenders
Regulatory and operational considerations, including evolving expectations around automated decision-making and internal AI use
The session will also consider practical use cases for AI adoption in non-bank lending, productivity, origination and funding. It will explore how to embed risk controls within these environments to deploy AI safely.
