Following the launch of the AFIA Finance Industry Code in September, this session will provide members with a comprehensive look at the governance framework, accreditation process, and practical tools to support internal reviews and business-wide engagement.
In this session, AFIA’s Director Industry Standards, Tracey Lyons will provide a walkthrough of the Code Accreditation Framework, including key timelines, the role of the Code Compliance Committee (CCC), and on member compliance attestation.
Tracey will guide participants through the full accreditation pack, including the Guideline, Checklist, and Initial Compliance Declaration, and outline the CCC’s decision-making process, from notification of outcome to use of the Code Compliant logo.
Complementing this, Kerensa Sneyd from Allens will provide strategic guidance on conducting an internal compliance review, including how to engage the wider business—not just compliance teams—to ensure the Code is embedded organisation-wide. Kerensa will also discuss how the AFIA Code Compliance Guide (available on the Member Portal) can help members manage this process efficiently and effectively.
