ACCC consultation on the Interim Authorisation Decision – New Energy Tech Consumer Code

On 08 October 2025, AFIA endorses the NETCC's broader objectives and advocates for stronger safeguards within the Code to prevent mis-selling and consumer harm. The submission recommends enhanced regulatory oversight, mandatory training and accreditation for sales agents, and improved complaint resolution mechanisms. These measures aim to strengthen consumer protections and ensure the NETCC delivers meaningful benefits in the context of Australia’s transition to a green energy future.
