CDR Non Bank Lending Draft Designation Instrument

AFIA has lodged a submission to Treasury’s consultation for Consumer Data Right – Non-Bank Lending draft designation instrument.

The submission reflects AFIA’s support for the expansion of the Consumer Data Right (CDR) to non-bank lenders. It suggests measures to ensure CDR expansion is true to its aims of promoting competition and consumer choice. Key to this are the proportionality of compliance for each firm and product, and unique factors specific to the expansion of a data sharing regime to smaller market participants.
