Financial Counselling Industry Funding Model - Discussion Paper
AFIA made a submission to the Department of Social Services on their Financial Counselling Funding Model Discussion Paper.
The submission supports the aim of increasing the availability of free financial counselling for people who find themselves in financial difficulty. It provides recommendations on the voluntary nature of the model, how to ensure it is workable in the long-term and equitable, as well as comments on the sectors covered and robustness of the methodology.
